Plant Audit
On site visits begis with discussions concerning process. Key issues are discussed with engineering and operations. Areas of correction include:
Safety
Sanitation
Performance
Particle breakage
Specific process issue
In plant process walk through interrogations to include:
Examination of key issues
Component inspection
Process transfer method and conditions
Settings of specific equipment
Resultant(s) such as differential pressure for a given rate and length
Leaks
Fugitive losses
Key areas identified:
Photos (if permitted) are taken of key issue areas. These along with walk through documentation are assembled in a presentation to plant. Discussion of key areas are used to implement immediate solutions where possible. This presentation is done with engineering, operations and maintenance crews.
Report Issues:
Process line is scored. Each specific area or component will be issued a performance score. These are identified, coded and scored as follows:
Physical, Mechanical, Safety, Sanitation, Product Quality. Each area with have an issue identifier with degrees of importance or fail. A numeric score of 1-10 is issued. A collective score is measured for future comparative.
Off-Site:
As built flow diagram can be constructed with scored areas identified. This can be used as a process map for future system progression.
Training:
A full day training seminar is available that is developed with your specific plant. This can be followed by a system audit. Administered through a power point presentation, 3D models of process line and equipment can be built for a powerful information delivery vehicle to operations. Through unique materials specific to your process, a knowledge base is constructed with your operators. Knowing what goes on "inside" of their line and equipment generates a deeper interest. This empowers operators to build a more autonomous operation within your operation. The delivery of these materials is done in such a way to keep interest and knowledge capture high. To further this, we can implement a short field based test to ensure everybody understands and comprehends their new process knowledge.
